How do you get started? What should you expect? And how can you foster a lifelong, happy, and positive relationship with food—while avoiding picky eating and bringing more peace to the dining table?
In this workshop, we’ll explore how to recognize when a baby is—or is not—developmentally ready to start solids. We’ll talk about what foods to offer, how to offer them, which foods to avoid, and how to notice when something doesn’t seem quite right. You’ll learn how to respect your baby’s individual pace while still ensuring they receive all the nutrients they need. We’ll also share practical tips and strategies to make mealtimes a positive, connected, and enjoyable experience for the whole family—and to help prevent picky eating down the road.
Is this workshop right for me and my family?
This workshop is designed to provide the most up-to-date recommendations on infant feeding and healthy eating, along with evidence-based guidance to help you foster a positive approach to food within your family.
If your child has specific medical or nutritional challenges—such as being underweight, having a very sensitive gag reflex, multiple food allergies, gastrointestinal malformations or illnesses, or any other condition that may affect the development of eating skills—this workshop may not fully meet your child’s individual needs. In those cases, working one-on-one with a specialized practitioner is often the best option. Please don’t hesitate to reach out if you’d like help finding the right professional.
If you’re breastfeeding and ongoing breastfeeding support is part of your care plan, these services are typically covered by insurance—often at 100%.
For self-pay clients, this workshop is $150 and last approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes.
