Growing your family while breastfeeding is often possible. Continuing to breastfeed your toddler during pregnancy—and even tandem feeding after birth—can ease the transition for your older child while helping you maintain a strong physical and emotional connection with your “big kid.”
That said, this journey can also come with new challenges, questions, or bittersweet feelings. You don’t have to navigate them alone.
We can discuss:
Fertility while breastfeeding
Physical and hormonal changes that may affect breastfeeding during pregnancy
The safety of breastfeeding while pregnant
What to expect when tandem feeding a toddler and a newborn
Practical strategies to make tandem feeding a positive and enjoyable experience
Breastfeeding consultations are typically covered by insurance up to 1 year postpartum and after the 28th week of pregnancy, though coverage may vary by insurance provider. Tandem breastfeeding support may also be included as part of a prenatal class and is often covered at 100%.
For self-pay clients, this session is $150 and lasts approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes.
